Some polyols are partially digested, so observe how your levels respond.
Values according to the manufacturer's product data sheet. Shop calculation: 81 g of carbohydrates minus 66 g of polyols equals 15 g of countable carbohydrates per 100 g bag.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert the countable carbohydrates into KE or BE?
Use the Diabetes KE Calculator from Zuckerschmuck: Select an item from the range or enter the value per 100 g, specify the amount in grams, and the countable carbohydrates will be converted into KE and BE; the calculator does not provide a dosing recommendation. One KE corresponds to 10 g of carbohydrates, and one BE to 12 g of carbohydrates.

How do I calculate insulin for low-carb products?
With low-carb products, the packaging says "sugar-free," but carbohydrates are listed, often in large quantities. What does this mean, and how much insulin do I need for them? The carbohydrates from polyols do not affect metabolism and do not raise blood sugar levels, so they do not need to be calculated for insulin dosage. Specifically, this means you check the packaging for the carbohydrate content. From this, you subtract the amount listed as "of which polyols." The result is the number you need to consider for your insulin dosage.
